Transform your pet into an intricately detailed, custom landscape! Now you can see what your cat would look like as a misty forest, your dog if it were made out of tree bark and moss or as a galaxy in the sky. Or you can opt for a gorgeous and vibrant portrait of your pet as well. I'm constantly adding more styles so if you don't see something you want check back later or email me (firstname.lastname@example.org)!
This one of a kind piece of art will serve as a welcome gift for a new addition to the family, a lasting memory of a pet that has passed or anything in-between. It will be a great conversation piece in your own home or a thoughtful gift for your friends and family!
How it works
- Select a size, style and whether you would like a frame or not
- Upload the image of your pet you would like to use for this process and select the desired crop region. A high quality image is recommended for best results. See below for more on this.
- You should receive a confirmation email for your purchase
- I will create your piece and send a proof to you via email for approval. This will take an estimated 5-10 business days to finish. If you are not happy with the quality of the proof you received you can get a full refund at this stage.
- Once the piece is approved by you, it will be printed and shipped to your house in an estimated 3-5 business days. If you ordered a digital file, an un-watermarked print file will be emailed to you instead of a print.
- Hang the art on your wall or give it as a gift
For best results, a high quality image is strongly recommended. This is different than a high resolution image — I can work with lower resolutions. What I mean by quality is reducing things like glare, shadows or obstructions of our view of your pet. For best results, a clear image of your pet at the center and a relatively neutral background like these images are recommended.
Different Printing Materials
I also work with a fine art lab that specializes in large scale metal and photo prints mounted under glass. If you're looking to turn your commission into a timeless piece with unparalleled quality and durability, feel free to email me (email@example.com) :)
When choosing a style, keep in mind the color of your pet relative to the background — this will determine what aspects of the image are in the foreground and the background. For example, the dog used in the space example image is light on a dark background so he is formed out of the bright nebula dust. If your pet is dark on a light background, he will be formed using the dark background and surrounded by light instead.
In general, my recommendations for style choices are as follows:
Painting — This piece does best with close ups of the pet's face and high quality images. With darker pets on lighter backgrounds their face might be blue instead of red.
Space — This should work for all pets, but will look best for lighter colored pets on a darker background
Forest — This may not look as good for pets with very light faces and dark backgrounds, as they could get lost in the mist. Will look best for pets with a darker face than the background or their tummy (like the cat from the sample image. You can find the source image for it just above: his face is light but still darker than his white neck and the pillow)
Moss — This should work for all pets. Lighter pets will be created out of tree bark and darker pets will have more moss on them
The image sizes are given in a vertical aspect ratio (for example 8x12"), but I can also handle horizontal images (for example 12x8"). Just choose the size that you would like and the aspect ratio will be automatically adjusted.
About The Artist
About The Artist
With a PhD in optics/physics, Caleb Gannon has a proven attention to detail, organization and an insistence on perfection. Every piece is meticulously crafted to make sure your final product is an awe inspiring work of art.
Each piece will be created and printed at high resolution (300DPI). The larger prints will not be upscaled in any way, they are created at full size and will be bursting with fine detail for you to explore.
The metal prints are sublimation printed into solid aluminum at gallery quality, then treated to protect against water and dust. A metal frame is attached to the back to allow for easy mounting, so the piece arrives ready to hang. These pieces will not scratch or fade and are build to last multiple lifetimes.
The paper prints are printed on a museum quality, heavy and long lasting archival matte paper. The weight is 250gsm/110lbs. I also offer frames which are 1-2 cm (0.4-0.8") thick wood painted black with shatterproof, transparent acrylic glass. They also come with a hanging kit.
The production time to create your piece is estimated to be around 5 business days (and will often be significantly shorter). This means from the time you place an order, you should receive your art in 8-10 business days. If demand is too high, I will stop accepting new work to make sure art is being delivered in a timely manner. Check for a banner at the top of the store or my instagram @caleb_gannon_official for notices of any expected delays.
I work with a network of over 100 print labs around the globe. When you place an order it is automatically fulfilled at the location nearest to you. This means the art will get to you quickly no matter where you are in the world. Our average production time worldwide is 72 hours—that means once you place your order, your art could be on your doorstep in as little as 3 business days!*
When you place an order, you will receive email notifications confirming your order, and a second email with tracking information when your product has shipped. If an item becomes lost or damaged during shipping we will send you a replacement for free.
The metal prints ship from my fine art print lab in Germany, they typically take 8-12 business days to arrive internationally.
By creating and shipping our products locally (see the shipping info for more on this) we are able to greatly reduce shipping distances on all of our purchases. This uses substantially less fuel and cuts down on greenhouse gas emissions.
The estimated travel reduction per order for this decentralized production model is 3500km. That's more than a trip from San Diego to Chicago saved just from your order! This produces 67% less greenhouse gas emissions compared to centralized production.
All printed paper products are made of FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified paper, meaning it was harvested in a responsible manner. We are also working towards sourcing our paper products from recycled paper, currently in the US, Germany, France, and Sweden.
The above does not apply to the metal prints, which are all created and ship from Germany.
I offer 100% no hassle replacements of defective or damaged products (without the need to return anything).
If you are not happy with the quality of your product, it was damaged, defective or you have other issues with your order contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org within 10 days of receipt of the product (the sooner the better) and I'll do everything I can to help you find a solution. If possible, attaching photos of the problem can significantly speed up the process.
Because each product is made to order, created and shipped locally from many locations across the globe I do not currently have the infrastructure to process returns. I do offer refunds and replacements as discussed above.
